Neelma believes it is important to work with clients in a collaborative manner to help them reach their goals. She understands the complexities a client could be working through in which she takes on a non-judgmental and calm approach to ensure the client is able to work through their thoughts, feelings and behaviour patterns in a positive manner.

She has experience working with clients from high-risk populations in which she has been able to build strong therapeutic alliances which include stabilization, creating cultural and emotional safety. She is able to build a positive relationship with clients for them to be able to share their stories.

Neelma understands that all clients have their own journey therefore all sessions would be tailored to meet the clients needs. She specializes in using therapeutic approaches from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
