COUNSELLING TEAM POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

Registered Psychologists, Provisionally Registered Psychologists, Registered Social Workers and Certified Counsellors.

Location: 3 locations in Calgary, AB & additional Canadian cities for distance counselling

Position close date: Open until suitable candidates found

Potential candidates will:

  • Possess a minimum of a Masters degree
  • Have liability Insurance
  • Have experience counselling clients with variety of concerns
  • Be a spiritually sensitive therapist, with a holistic approach to treatment
  • Will be available to work daytime or evening with Friday/Saturday evening & Sunday availability being an asset
  • Have their own office space OR be willing to use Living Well office space
  • Be detail oriented in terms of administrative tasks such as progress notes, billing submissions & invoicing
  • Be teachable, and demonstrate an openness to lifelong learning
  • Be willing to accept part-time (5-10 hrs) or full-time (15-25 hrs) per week contract work
  • Experience working w/children/teens, couples, men’s issues, or other areas is an asset
  • May be able to offer video or teletherapy based upon licensing body requirements and/or equipment

ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM: POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Executive Assistant & Office Manager.

Location: Calgary, AB or Kelowna, BC

Living Well Counselling Services is a well established counselling practice that has been serving people in need for over 15 years. We are expanding into Kelowna and are a positive, supportive team that values work/life balance, growth and development along with self-care and burnout prevention as part of our core values. We are looking for two enthusiastic new team members to join us in our work to serve clients at our various locations and online distance clients abroad. These positions will be in Kelowna and Calgary.

Each role will be a part-time contract role 15-20 hours per week, with the potential to move to a full time position if desired.

Candidates for this role will be available 3-4 hours per day, 4-5 days per week. Evening availability and/or Saturday availability is not required but is an asset. This role could be well suited to a stay at home parent re-entering the workforce, a retiree looking for part-time work or a University student. Because the schedule allows for flexibility, this role can be accommodating to varied schedules (ie. class schedule, child school drop off/pick up, additional part-time role work etc). Interest in mental health, psychology and/or the counselling profession is also an asset.

As an administrative team member primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Jane office software and assisting therapists with administrative requests
  • Communicating with new intake and matching them with a suitable therapist
  • Website and email management
  • Ordering and stocking office supplies
  • Maintaining clean and tidy offices
  • Assisting the CEO with managing the day to day operations

Requirements:

  • Well organized with great time management skills
  • Strong work ethic with an ability to work independently without guidance
  • Friendly and approachable to represent the agency
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Teachable and open to learning
  • Candidate will possess a positive ‘can-do’ attitude with flexibility for various tasks as needs arise
  • Dedication to one’s own mental health and wellness
  • Transportation and a valid driver’s licence
  • Criminal record check and vulnerable persons check
  • Proven track record at previous employment

Assets:

  • Evening and/or Saturday availability 
  • Office management and/or administrative experience 
  • Post secondary degree
  • Interest and/or experience in counselling or related helping profession
  • Experience with social media/design capabilities
