Ian has a down-to-earth approach in growing a strong therapeutic relationship where he can collaborate openly with clients who feel they are struggling to understand the relationships and worldviews around them. His goal is to find everyone’s natural skills and inclinations that they already possess to clarify healthy outlooks through the promotion of strengths rather than a focus on social weaknesses. Ian has nearly a decade of experience in the mental health field working with children, youth, adults, and couples, and is honoured to be asked to join in anyone’s mental health journey.

Ian applies a specific set of therapeutic interventions, including Family Systems, Social Constructionism, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and The Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. Additionally, he seeks to incorporate his Trauma-Informed-Care training within every question and conversation he has with clients, in order to uphold his ethical responsibility to provide respect and dignity to all who accept his support.
