About Long Zhou, MACP

Long approaches his work with a deep sense of curiosity and respect for the human experience. He believes that suffering is an inherent part of life, and that healing and growth naturally unfold when people are met with genuine compassion, non-judgmental understanding, and thoughtful guidance.

Long views each person as the expert in their own life and works collaboratively to navigate challenges by drawing on their strengths and resources. He supports clients in developing self-awareness, gaining insight into their circumstances, building effective coping strategies, and fostering value-driven, goal-oriented, and self-directed change.

His practice is grounded in a trauma-informed and client-centred perspective. Long uses an eclectic counselling approach, primarily integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Existential Therapy, and tailors each treatment plan to the unique needs and circumstances of the individual.

He has experience working with diverse populations and a wide range of concerns, including trauma, addictions, emotional regulation, relationship challenges, anxiety, and depression. Long offers counselling in both English and Mandarin.
