Jodi Kunz, MC

Jodi approaches counselling with a passion for creating a genuine and authentic therapeutic connection with individuals.  She believes that compassion, understanding, and trust are essential in building a safe environment for clients where they can focus and connect with their inner world, thoughts and feelings. She brings an experience of counselling diverse populations at the Sonshine Community Counselling Services.  As a therapist, Jodi will listen, help teach new skills and challenge clients to see new ways to live and most importantly believe in themselves.

Jodi utilizes a wide variety of tools in her practice including thought and behaviour modification, motivational strategies, and spiritual exploration skills.  Dedicated to helping people cope more effectively with a variety of personal growth needs, including facing relationship obstacles, adjusting to significant life transitions and trauma issues.  Jodi is trained in EMDR Therapy, a comprehensive therapy approach, useful for overcoming stressful experiences such as deeply embedded memories or traumas, which can be the basis of depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, phobias, fears, or performance issues.  EMDR therapy sessions can provide insight, perspective, and relief at an accelerated pace.

 

Jodi is currently offering both daytime and evening appointments.
