Brianna Matchett, MC

Brianna is dedicated to cultivating a space where people feel genuinely heard and understood. She offers a comfortable space marked by empathy and acceptance, in which her clients are welcomed to voice issues and concerns. Brianna enjoys working with youth, adolescents, couples, and families and brings a gentle and empathetic presence to each client session. Brianna understands that clients may desire to integrate spirituality into their therapy, and she is willing to use her Christian faith, and other spiritual resources to guide clients through difficulty and challenge.

Brianna has an integrative approach to counselling and draws upon a variety of approaches depending on the needs of her clients. She integrates Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), but may also use other approaches such as Mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Brianna primarily draws from the Gottman Method when working with couples and is Level 2 Certified in the Gottman Method approach.
